GLIF Pools and the Genesis Pool

Unlike other Blockchain networks, there is no “one size fits all” model for staking on Filecoin because Filecoin Storage Providers are unique with respect to their efficiency and risk profiles. That’s why we invented GLIF Pools - a protocol for deploying, managing, and upgrading custom Filecoin staking pools. The protocol aims to enable developers to implement their own custom staking pool strategies without worrying about accounting, security, and access to off-chain Storage Provider data.

Some background on GLIF - GLIF was born in 2018 and is an umbrella brand for several apps and tools on the Filecoin Network. We run public and dedicated nodes like Infura, a block explorer inspired by Etherscan, and the Filecoin Wallet and Multisig trusted by Protocol Labs and the Filecoin Foundation.
